Michael B. Hartnett Associate Mr. Hartnett brings over 15 years of experience in healthcare Revenue Management consulting, systems implementation and business development to Beam Partners. Prior to joining Beam, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Progressive Healthcare, overseeing the financial operations of three Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs). He has also held the position of Consulting Services Manager in the Revenue Cycle Management practices for Phoenix Health Systems, BearingPoint, and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, specializing in Patient Financial Services engagements for large acute care hospitals, health systems and academic medical centers. His project management experience from both provider and payor engagements has afforded him valuable insight into the operations and of both types of organizations, specifically the business processes that lead to enhanced regulatory compliance, effective use of resources, improved efficiency and financial integrity. The process improvement initiatives he manages includes implementation of administrative and financial policies, analysis of staffing plans, evaluation and customization of information systems, business process outsourcing, accounts receivable reduction, and process redesign and integration. He has worked with several prominent organizations including Carilion Clinic, Duke University Health System, Sisters of Mercy Health System, Health Midwest (now HCA Midwest), Aetna and the Hawai’i Department of Human Services Medicaid Division. Mr. Hartnett is a graduate of the University of Florida where he received an MBA and MHA and was recognized as a Fellow with the Poe Center for Business Ethics. A native of Charleston, SC, he graduated from the College of Charleston where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Spanish. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). |
