Dave Misner


Mr. Misner is a seasoned managed care professional with over 18 years experience in the health care industry. His core competencies include capitation and fee for service contract negotiation, operations management, sales management product development and strategic planning. Other strengths include network development, provider relations, budgeting and staff management. 

With a strong history of leadership, Mr. Misner has an extensive background as an executive managing large healthcare projects. As vice president for CCN (a fully-owned subsidiary of Coventry Health Care), he integrated SouthCare into the CCN sales and account management structure and not only successfully met his sales goals of $4 million in new sales in 2005, he achieved record first quarter sales for 2006. As chief executive of SouthCare PPO, he introduced a full line of repricing options including EDI, expanded their network to provide statewide coverage in several new states, and exceeded budget profit goals each year by an average of 25%. 

Mr. Misner has experience as an independent consultant as well, providing services for a start-up Medicaid HMO in Ohio. As a contracted consultant, he combined two plans into the new company and capitated 70% of all medical services, covering over 200,000 Medicaid members. He also held positions at Kaiser Permanente, Healthsource, and Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company, building his knowledge level throughout. 

Mr. Misner received a BS in Business Administration/Management with Honors, and a master’s of Public Health/Planning and Administration from the University of Tennessee.
