Mr. Bayham has over 35 years clinical experience in various medical and pharmaceutical venues, including ambulatory care, hospitals, long-term care, research, and managed care. During his thirteen years tenure in managed care, he had been a Director over such areas as Pharmacy, Medical Management, Quality, Compliance, Member Services, and Accreditation.  He has worked with health plans from the Canadian border to Puerto Rico and from Oregon to the Atlantic Ocean. Plan types that Alan has worked with include commercial, State-employee, Medicare, and Medicaid health plans.

Mr. Bayham completed the requirements for his Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana, College of Pharmacy in 1975. Alan earned his Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in April 2001 with a perfect 4.0 GPA and scoring in the top 1% of the country in the Post-Curriculum Comprehensive Cognitive Assessment Exam.

The Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Louisiana contracted by the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services engaged Alan as its Patient Safety Consultant for its "1d3" project, which through a coalition of state medical and pharmacy associations, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and universities effectively reduced the prescribing of inappropriate medications to Medicare beneficiaries. Mr. Bayham has been recognized nationally as "Pharmacy Manager of the Year" and he has been named a "Visionary" by the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacists. The Louisiana Board of Pharmacy recognized Alan with a "Silver Certificate" in 2001. In 2006, Standard and Poor inducted him into the Society of Industry Leaders.
